14 August 1990, Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar made 119 runs (not out) which is his first century of his 9th test cricket match and 14 innings against England at Old Trafford, Manchester. He becomes second batsman who made test century in very young age (17 years, 112 days). First number is Pakistan’s batsman Mustak Ahmed since 1961 (17 years, 8 days) against India at Delhi.


In this match Sachin Tendulkar made batting partnership with Manoj Prabhakar (67 runs not out) of 160 runs (not out). And match result was draw. Sachin Tendulkar got Man of the match award first time in his career for international cricket matches. This match is also first cricket match of Anil Kumble who is Leg Spinner of Indian cricket team.
